Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Schmidgall has a twin sister and a younger brother. His dad’s job brought him to Colleyville, TX where he lived until he attended Texas A&M University. He went onto to receive his DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX, and met his wife, Michele, during his residency at Veterans Affairs Hospital.
Dr. Schmidgall and his wife have a son, Luke, their pride and joy. They are part of the Watermark Community Church in Fort Worth with their faith being a central part of their marriage, family, and practice.
As a youngster, Dr. Schmidgall enjoyed attention to detail, structure, science, and problem-solving. His mother was a nurse and his father an engineer, but he found healthcare to provide flexibility, community involvement, and to be more suited to his talents. So he shadowed a local dentist, a man of faith, and become captivated with the impact dentistry could have on people’s lives.
Today, he thrives when using his God-given talents to benefit those around him. Dr. Schmidgall loves building relationships with our patients and helping them achieve their goals.
Dr. Schmidgall's Credentials
Why choose our dentist in Arlington, TX?
As one who has had painful encounters with other dentists and their staff, which left me quite fearful of any dental work, I am pleased to say I continually experience nothing but pleasantness and patience here. The friendliness of EVERYONE makes me feel as if I'm part of the family! The work is superior in all aspects. I highly recommend Oak Dentistry!

- Outside of the Office
Family is everything right now. Any time I have to spare it is used loving my amazing wife Michele and our son Luke. Being a first time parent is the most amazing experience. I also love to do anything outdoors, especially golfing, as well as hiking and camping.
- Who Is Your Hero?
My hero is my father. He has shown me how to lean on faith in times of plenty and in times of need. He helps me to be strong and content in whatever God brings.
- Best Day of Your Life?
When I accepted Jesus Christ into my life as Lord, it has changed my priorities and given me purpose. Anything good people see in me is because of the grace God has given me and the work he is still doing in my life day by day.
- An Interesting Fact About Yourself
Not many people know this but I have a twin sister.
