Broken and misaligned teeth
Porcelain Veneers
Invest in your smile and see the rewards.
Broken and misaligned teeth

Suffering from crooked, stained, cracked, or broken teeth can have a negative impact on the way you feel and act around others. If you are embarrassed by your smile then porcelain veneers could be the ideal solution for you!

  • What are veneers?

Porcelain veneers are thin porcelain shells placed over the front of your teeth and bonded directly on the surface. These shells are stain resistant and cover any cosmetic imperfections you might have, leaving you with a beautiful and long-lasting smile.

  • How are they placed?

This procedure usually requires up to three appointments: one for a consultation and two to make and place the veneers. But don’t worry, many teeth can undergo this process at the same time.

The first step in this treatment is to trim some enamel off of your natural teeth. Then, using his expertise, Dr. Schmidgall will make a model of the teeth and send it to the lab that will manufacture your veneers.

Once the veneer is back, Dr. Schmidgall will temporarily place it on your tooth to examine its fit and color. He will remove and trim the veneer as needed to achieve the right fit for the smile you want. When the look is just right, the veneers bonded to your teeth with special cement and dried with a special light. We will schedule a follow-up visit to make sure the veneers are working for you and looking great.

It may sound tricky but, by training under the prestigious Dr. David Hornbrook of The Hornbrook Group, Dr. Schmidgall has learned the art of smile design, functional aesthetics, and occlusion. With a real eye for detail, he is the best dentist to help you achieve the smile that will bring back your confidence!

What are My Options?

Before any treatment takes place, we like to get started by giving you a thorough exam and a good cleaning. As part of this preparation, Dr. Schmidgall will try different procedures, like abrasion or polishing, to examine if your stains disappear. If that is not the case, we will provide you with different options to achieve the beautiful smile you are searching for:

In-Office Whitening
With this treatment option, our expert will cover your teeth with a strong whitening gel. Then, a special light will be used to activate the gel and brighten the shade of your teeth. It can take up to three appointments until you can properly appreciate the truly remarkable results with this method.

Take-Home Whitening
Professional take-home whitening trays are custom-made to fit your mouth. While at home, you’ll fill them with a special whitening gel, and leave them to remove stains and brighten your smile. You can whiten at your convenience and to your desired shade.

Both treatment options are effective, and their results will make you feel comfortable and confident once again!

We go above and beyond to provide you with the highest quality treatments there are, which is why we only use products approved by the American Dental Association.

How Does Invisalign® Work?

Invisalign® gently moves your teeth into their proper position by using clear, comfortable aligners, which are custom-made to fit your unique smile. Each stage of your treatment requires a different aligner to get your smile moving closer and closer to your dream result!

These aligners are removable, which means you can eat your favorite foods and brush/floss just like you would do in your normal routine. Polite reminder: Please make sure you remember to place the aligners back in your mouth once you are done.

The best part of this innovative treatment is you don´t have to spend multiple years of your life to complete it! Inivsalign® can be fully effective and completed in just 12-18 months. Dr. Schmidgall only requires you have brief check-ups with him every six months to make sure everything is going well and according to plan. He is always on-call should you have any questions.

Cosmetic Dental Bonding
Don't live with smile imperfections.
Dr. Ryan Schmidgall showing sample denture to patient

At Oak Dentistry we offer cosmetic bonding, which is the application of a tooth-colored composite resin to improve and rehabilitate a decayed, chipped, fractured, or discolored smile.

Our very own Dr. Schmidgall uses the composite material to correct common issues and give a younger and healthier appearance to your smile. Our dentist in Arlington, TX studied and learned this technique as an option to those that want an esthetic improvement but aren’t ready to commit to porcelain smile makeover.

Cosmetic bonding is more conservative and usually requires virtually no preparation of your natural teeth. This makes it one of the simplest and inexpensive cosmetic dental procedures.

The procedure starts with Dr. Schmidgall prepping the material to the right color. He then layers it onto your natural teeth and shapes it to fit your smile. Once the right shape is found, he polishes the teeth and shows you your beautiful new smile.
